As much as I hate to plug the ever expensive PC World I have to admit their article on the new Pentax point and shoots covers its impressive features well.
Along with the almost standard 12MP sensor we have 5x optical zoom from 28mm to 140mm, high resolution video capture, 2.7in LCD and digital stabilisation.
If your budget can stretch to the price range of £200-£300 this would make a perfect pocket camera for recon trips and those days where you just don't think the tripod and 3 rucksacks are a good idea.
It may not have interchangeable lenses and probably doesn't boast the many options that modern DSLRs do but with all of those features and the ability to handle Eye-Fi cards it's a really interesting device.
Opinions?
